She Used Conditioner For What?????

I'm sure this isn't a novel idea but just wanted to fill those of you who may not know into it.

A little over a month ago, I ran out of shaving cream and was looking around the bathroom for a substitute. My hands landed on this bottle of cheap conditioner. Since that initial shave, I have not looked back to purchase shaving cream. Let me tell you, this stuff is the bomb.com. My legs have never been smoother or softer. I no longer have that second day shave feel where you can somehow feel the short hair stubs from shaving. No ingrown hairs or razor bumps. This stuff is gold in my book. My legs and I have never been happier.

Back To School

So it's back to school time again. With this comes the need to label all your or your kiddy's stuff. I have a kindergartner so that means labels on everything from clothes to pencils. Normally, I would write his name on but as the school year would progress they would fade or look unsightly. This year I decided to do something different and try labels from http://label-land.com/.

Post Maternity Wear

After spending almost ten months in maternity wear, i'm feeling kind a happy that I get to go back to wearing more fashionable clothes. 

So in celebration of my freedom from the frump (and giving birth too), I plan to take my "flexible friend" shopping for some new clothes. Here's what I had in mind...

                         

Ema Jane Cuties

Styling a baby girl is new territory for me. And to boot, there is just so much stuff out there for them (in overwhelming hues of pink). But I must boldly navigate the color filled aisles of stores now because I don't want my daughter to grow up like me, being late in embracing her femininity. Aside from clothes, the first ultra girlie thing I've purchased is a set of hair bands. I found these cute iridescent mini satin flowered hair bands (whew, that's a lot of adjectives) here that i'm sure my daughter will look absolutely adorable in. I think i'm stepping in the right direction.

Studded Feet

I absolutely adore shoes! I couldn't resist purchasing these cuties when I saw them yesterday. They were only $21 and not to mention super comfortable and the color is just fab.

Caution!

I never imagined that when I opened a pack of oatmeal raisin cookies I'd find spider webs in it.  Needless to say, I was super grossed out.  This is a warning for everyone to please be cautious when you're opening food packages. You never know what could be in there...

Summer TV Obsession

"First they trap us, then they try to reassure us". <-- A line from a show i'm crushing on this summer.  Just like any new relationship, you're afraid to show too much emotion for fear of it not being reciprocated. That's how I feel about "Under The Dome". But with heavy hitters like Stephen King and Spielberg directing and producing, this show is guaranteed to be a sure bet, right? I hope i'm not setting myself up for a broken heart. Good news though, it's already being picked up for another season and it's being tooted as the number one show of the summer.

What Makes You Smile?

While browsing through my timeline this morning on FaceBook, I came across the question "What makes you smile?" by one of my favorite motivational speaker/author Paul Carrick Brunson. I immediately began to assess my life to find the answer to such a poignant question. There are lots of things that make me smile but one stuck out the most. 

This necklace is a representation of the thing that makes me smile. Love... The love of my family. My husband gave me this necklace almost 13 years ago while we were dating and he was living in another country. He's my best friend and confidant. Two kids later, not only has our family grown but so has our love. 

No matter how i'm feeling, or whatever trial I may go through, I know I have love. Knowing this makes me smile. 

I extend the same question to you....
